Missouri Tigers

The Tigers managed a nice 7-2 run over their first nine games with losses to only Memphis and Jackson State. Missouri has since gone just 1-6 however. The losses in that time have come versus Kansas, Seton Hall, Illinois, Georgia, Kentucky and South Carolina (with a win over Central Arkansas).

In the matchup with South Carolina on Saturday, the Tigers had a one-point lead at the break but eventually fell 71-69 in overtime during a tough result. Missouri’s leading scorer in the defeat was Noah Carter with 23 points and five rebounds in 41 minutes of action.

Alabama Crimson Tide

Over on the Alabama side, they went a sketchy 6-5 over their first 11 games this year with losses to Ohio State, Clemson, Purdue, Creighton and Arizona in that time. The Tide have beaten Eastern Kentucky, Liberty, Vanderbilt, South Carolina and Mississippi State since then.

On Saturday versus Mississippi State, the Tide held a slim 40-38 edge going into the second half. Alabama hit a 42-36 advantage from there and took the win 82-74. Leading the team in the victory effort was Mark Sears with his 22 points, two assists, one rebound and 8-of-8 result from the line.

ANDREW’S FREE MISSOURI VS ALABAMA PREDICTION

I’ll just stay with Alabama in this one. The Tide are on a great run these days and coming off a nice win over a good Mississippi State team. Alabama shot 43.1 percent from the field in that one and scored 18 points off 12 Bulldogs turnovers. That makes 74 or more points in every game so far this year for Alabama.

As for Missouri, they’re on a sketchy run these days but still scoring well with 68 or more points in six straight outings. The Tigers will probably notch a decent total here as well, but I don’t think they’ll keep a cover pace on Alabama.
