Arizona State vs Loyola-Chicago 11/26/2021 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Loyola Ramblers and the Arizona State Sun Devils meet Friday in college basketball action from Imperial Arena. Loyola is 4-2 so far and coming off a loss to Auburn on Thursday. Loyola posted wins in their first four games of the season. The Ramblers took out Coppin State, Florida Gulf Coast, Chicago State and UIC in that quartet. In their next outing Loyola fell to Michigan State 63-61 for their first defeat. 

In Thursday’s matchup versus Auburn, Loyola was able to keep the pace through the first half with a 34-32 deficit at the break. The Ramblers ended up falling 62-53. Marquise Kennedy led the way on 13 points, two rebounds and two assists. 

Over on the Arizona State side, they started off the year at 2-3 over their first five games. The Sun Devils beat Portland and North Florida during that stretch with losses to UC Riverside, San Diego State and Baylor. 

In Thursday’s matchup against Syracuse, Arizona State trailed 48-30 at halftime. Despite a 54-44 edge in the second half, the Sun Devils fell 92-84. Top scorer Marreon Jackson put up 17 points with four rebounds and seven assists. 

PICK: I’m going to try Loyola in this one. The Ramblers had a pretty decent first half against Auburn, shooting 44.7 percent from the floor. The 18 turnovers didn’t help, but overall it was a decent effort for Loyola against a tough Auburn squad. 

As for Arizona State, they fell behind quickly to Syracuse and couldn’t recover. The Orange shot 54.1 percent from the floor, and collected 47 rebounds to the Sun Devils’ 36. Arizona State should match up better in this one however, so it’ll be interesting to see.
