Arizona State vs Oregon State Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 2/2/23

Oregon State Beavers 

Oregon State went 7-9 through 16 games this year, beating Tulsa, Florida A&M, NW Christian, Washington, Seattle, Green Bay and Denver. The Beavers are just 2-4 in the last six with wins over California and Colorado. 

Matched up against Colorado back on Saturday, Oregon State managed a 26-25 deficit going into the second half. The Beavers outscored the Buffaloes 35-26 from there and won 60-52. Jordan Pope was the high man with 19 points in 36 minutes. 

Arizona State Sun Devils 

Over on the Arizona State side, they went 13-3 through 16 games with losses to only TX Southern, San Francisco and Arizona. The Sun Devils are 2-4 in their last six with wins over Oregon and Oregon State in that time. 

In their matchup versus Washington State on Saturday, the Sun Devils took a 36-24 deficit into the second half. Arizona State didn’t get any closer on a 39-34 deficit in the second and lost 75-58. Frankie Collins was tops on 16 points with six boards.

I’ll probably stick with Arizona State in this one. Neither team has been doing all that well lately however, so this one’s lacking a little luster. That said, The Sun Devils managed a 74-69 win at Gill Coliseum the last time these teams met up. Arizona State shot a nice 49 percent in that one with a 31-29 rebounding deficit. The bad news for the Sun Devils is that they haven’t won a game or hit 70 points in any of the four games since then. If they can get off to a good start at home in this rematch however, I think Arizona State will be okay cover-wise.
