The Arizona Wildcats and the Florida Gators meet Monday in college basketball action from the T-Mobile Arena. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s an Arizona Wildcats vs. Florida Gators prediction.
Arizona Wildcats Recap
The Arizona Wildcats come into the 2025-26 season looking to regroup after a 24-13 mark in 2024-25, which included a 14-6 mark in Big 12 conference play. Arizona would knock off Kansas and Texas Tech in the Big 12 tournament before falling to Houston in the Big 12 championship. The Wildcats would get a 4-seed at the NCAA tournament, knocking off Akron and Oregon before losing to Duke in the Sweet 16. With the senior-laden roster that Arizona had, turnover is inevitable and Arizona lost some key pieces like Caleb Love, KJ Lewis, Henri Veesaar (transferred to UNC), Trey Townsend and Carter Bryant. That being said, Jaden Bradley’s back after logging 12.1 PPG, 3.4 RPG and 3.7 APG last season and Motiejus Krivas and Anthony Dell’Orso are also back to provide some reinforcements as well as Tobe Awaka. There’s a lot of work to be done but Tommy Lloyd’s earned the benefit of the doubt in Tucson.
Why the Arizona Wildcats will win
- Arizona has won each of its last 10 Monday games.
Florida Gators Recap
The Florida Gators come into this game looking to start their title defense right after finishing 2024-25 as your national champions. Florida went 36-4 overall including 14-4 in SEC play. The Gators would take out Missouri, Alabama and Tennessee to win the SEC tournament and then knocked out Norfolk State, UConn, Maryland, Texas Tech, Auburn and Houston to win the national championship. This will be a bit of a new look Florida team with Walter Clayton Jr., Alijah Martin and Will Richard all gone, but Alex Condon, Thomas Haugh and Micah Handlogten make up a tremendous frontcourt along with Rueben Chinyelu at the five and the backcourt, despite being a pair of transfers, is outstanding with Xaivian Lee coming over from Princeton and Boogie Fland transferring in from Arkansas to give some pop at the guard slots. The pieces are there for Florida to be the next repeat national champions and I wouldn’t necessarily bet against it.
Why the Florida Gators will win
- Florida has won each of its last 18 games against non-Conference opponents.
- Arizona has lost five of its last six day games played at neutral venues.
Total Points Facts
- Each of Arizona’s last 10 day games have produced a total of 159 or fewer points.
- Each of Florida’s last 10 day games against non-AP-ranked opponents have produced a total of 152 or fewer points.
Arizona Wildcats vs. Florida Gators Prediction
I’m on the over here. I just think there’s so much talent on both sides that we’re bound to get points in a headliner primetime matchup. Arizona also played in games against Wisconsin, Oklahoma and West Virginia last year that all went well over, while Florida’s talent may have even grown over last year’s in terms of their offensive prowess. Looks like a track meet to me, give me the over.
