The Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions dropped to 2-12 on the season after being defeated by the Alabama A&M Bulldogs, 70-50, this past Monday. Arkansas-Pine Bluff had no answers on either end of the court for Alabama A&M and could not fight back after the Bulldogs took a 50-35 lead midway through the 2nd half. Arkansas-Pine Bluff shot just 34.8% from the field & 25.0% from beyond the arc while allowing Alabama A&M to shoot 63.0% from the field & 36.7% from beyond the arc. The Hornets are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS win and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games. The Golden Lions are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up loss and just 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games.

Alabama State comes into this game ranked just 269th in scoring offense, 336th in scoring defense, & 267th in defensive FG%. Arkansas-Pine Bluff has also struggled on both ends of the court and come into this game ranked just 315th in scoring offense, 343rd in scoring defense, & 349th in defensive FG%.

These are not two very good teams, however, Alabama State has played a brutal schedule to start the season and, in my opinion, have shown much more than Arkansas-Pine Bluff, which includes single-digit losses at Western Kentucky & Iowa State. Arkansas-Pine Bluff has been awful on both ends of the court and as I think the Hornets have no trouble generating plenty of offense in this one, I think Alabama State does enough to cover this small road spread. Good Luck!
