In the Iowa State matchup, AR-Pine Bluff stumbled to a 38-22 deficit after one half and ultimately lost 83-64 in a blowout. Shawn Williams topped the team on 21 points with five assists and two rebounds.
Over on the Baylor side, it’s been smooth sailing so far and not a lot of tough games. The Bears have plowed through Incarnate Word, Nicholls State, Central AR, Stanford, Arizona State, VCU and Michigan State in their first seven outings.
In the Michigan State game, Baylor had a slim two-point advantage coming out of halftime. The Bears surged 37-22 from there in a 75-58 victory. James Akinjo led the way with his 15 points, five assists and one rebound in 33 minutes of work.

Meanwhile, the Lions are 6-2 ATS in their last eight Saturday games and the over is 7-3 in their last 10 overall. The over is 7-3 in ARPB’s last 10 road games.
PICK: I’m going to stick with the Bears. Probably not going near this one though because of the crazy thick line, though. In any case, Baylor posted another good-looking win over Michigan State in their last game, shooting 49.2 percent with 32 rebounds and 10 turnovers to the Spartans’ 19. Baylor hasn’t been challenged much this year so far.
As for AR-Pine Bluff, there wasn’t much they were going to be able to do against Iowa State in their last outing and the final score reflected that. This one will probably be another blowout first half with Baylor sticking it into cruise control after the break.
