The Tarleton Texans and the Baylor Bears meet in college basketball action from the Ferrell Center on Tuesday night.
The Tarleton Texans will be out to build on a 98-55 win over subdivision Wiley in their last game. The Baylor Bears will hope to build on a 64-63 win over Gonzaga in their last game. Keyonte George has 14.9 PPG with 4.1 RPG and 4 APG to cap off the group of double-digit scorers for Baylor so far this season. Flo Thamba also has a team-high 5.2 RPG to lead the Bears on the glass this season. As a team, Baylor is averaging 85.1 PPG on 48.7% shooting from the field, 37% from three and 71.2% from the foul line this season.
Tarleton is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall while the over is 7-3-1 in their last 11 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600. I get the case to be made either way here, as Baylor is the better team but Tarleton’s had a tendency to hang around with the better teams they’ve faced this season. Instead, I’m going to back the over here as I see this as a game where Baylor pushes the pace, but Tarleton matches and while I’m not sure they cover, I think the Texans do enough to push us over this number.
