The Liberty Flames and the Bellarmine Knights meet Thursday in college basketball action from Freedom Hall. Liberty is sitting at 15-7 on the year. The Flames are coming off a win over Kennesaw State. As for Bellarmine, they’re currently 13-9 this season and took out Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday. Liberty went a sketchy 8-6 over their first 14 games this year, but things have gone much more smoothly since. The Flames are on a 7-1 streak right now. After the lone loss to Jacksonville State, Liberty took a win over Kennesaw State in their last outing.
In the Kennesaw State game, the Flames posted a 36-21 advantage in the first half and cruised to a 65-50 victory from there. Leading scorer Darius McGhee came up with 16 points, four assists, three rebounds and one block in the win.
Over on the Bellarmine side, they went 6-8 in their first 14 games this year but similarly recovered on a 7-1 run since. The Knights also lost to Jacksonville State, then took out Stetson and Florida Gulf Coast in the next pair of outings.
In the Florida Gulf Coast matchup over the weekend, the Knights had a slim 31-30 lead by halftime. Bellarmine hit a 43-33 run from there during an eventual 74-63 win. Tops sin coring was CJ Fleming on 23 points and two rebounds.
The Knights are 5-1 ATS in their last six after an ATS win and 7-1 ATS in their last eight overall. The under is 8-1 in Bellarmine’s last nine overall.

PICK: I’m probably going to try Bellarmine here. This should be a pretty fun matchup regardless, though. The Knights have posted some pretty solid points totals over this 7-1 run. They’ve hit 68 or more in six of their wins. Liberty’s offense has been working pretty well also—71 or more in six of their last eight. I like this matchup to be a high-scoring affair with Bellarmine powering out a cover/win. Should be a fairly competitive game.
