Grambling led by a 52-43 margin with 10:59 left in regulation, however, the Tigers struggled offensively down the stretch and could not fight back after Texas Southern took a 63-58 lead with :23 seconds left in regulation. Grambling shot 36.4% from the field & 43.8% from beyond the arc while allowing Texas Southern to shoot 42.6% from the field & 50.0% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Tigers was A.J. Taylor who had a double-double with 11 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, & 1 block.

On the season, Grambling is averaging 61.7 ppg on 39.8% shooting from the field. The Tigers are averaging 5.1 three-pointers per game on 33.3% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Grambling has been led by Cam Christon (11.5 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 1.2 apg), Danya Kingsby (10.8 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 1.8 apg), A.J. Taylor (9.7 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 1.5 bpg), & Tra’Michael Moton (8.4 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 3.2 apg, 1.5 spg).

The Bethune-Cookman Wildcats dropped to 3-10 on the season after being defeated by the FIU Panthers, 68-65, this past Wednesday. Bethune-Cookman led for most of the game and had a 35-20 lead at halftime, however, the Wildcats defense struggled down the stretch and FIU was able to get the come from behind victory after taking a 64-63 lead on an Eric Lovett three-pointer with just 1:02 left in regulation. Bethune-Cookman shot 41.7% from the field & 41.7% from beyond the arc while allowing FIU to shoot 41.7% from the field & 32.3% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Wildcats was Collins Joseph who had 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, & 5 steals.

Offensively, Bethune-Cookman has been led by Joe French (13.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg), Kevin Davis (10.4 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 1.0 apg, 1.8 spg), Marcus Garrett (9.5 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 1.2 apg, 1.2 spg), & Damani McEntire (8.1 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 1.7 apg, 2.3 spg).

The Tigers are 4-5 ATS in their last 9 games overall and 2-3 ATS in their last 5 away games. The Wildcats are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up loss & 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games.

Grambling has struggled on both ends of the court this season as the Tigers come into this game ranked just 330th in scoring offense, 324th in FG%, & t-292nd in scoring defense. Bethune-Cookman has been led by their defense which ranks 209th in scoring defense & 92nd in steals per game, however, the Wildcats have struggled offensively as Bethune-Cookman comes into this game ranked just 338th in scoring offense & 319th in FG%.

Grambling has only one victory over a D-1 school this season (Morgan State) and with and as the Tigers are 0-9 on the road this season and have struggled scoring the basketball, I can’t trust Grambling in this one. Bethune-Cookman is coming off a competitive game against FIU and as their defense has been solid as of late, holding their last three opponents to an average of 65.0 ppg, I think the Wildcats do enough in this one to cover this small home spread. Good Luck!
