Louisville Cardinals

Louisville’s season got off to a rough start with a 6-9 run featuring wins over UMBC, Coppin State, New Mexico State, Bellarmine, Pepperdine and Miami. It’s been a 2-7 stretch since then with losses to NC State, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Duke, Virginia, Clemson and Syracuse.

Over the weekend versus Georgia Tech, the Cardinals trailed 32-30 going into the second half. Louisville came back with a 49-35 run from there and took the victory 79-67. Kaleb Glenn was the team’s lead scorer with his 15 points and 13 rebounds for a double-double.

Boston College Eagles

Over on the Eagles’ side, they posted a pretty sketchy 11-8 run over their first 19 outings this year, losing to Colorado State, Loyola, NC State, Wake Forest, Syracuse, Clemson, North Carolina and Virginia Tech in that time. After wins over Notre Dame and Syracuse, Boston College lost to Florida State and Duke.

In the Duke matchup back on Saturday, the Eagles were within four points 36-32 at the break. Boston College was outscored 44-33 from there however and took the loss 80-65. Mason Madsen was the team’s leading scorer with his 15 points, four rebounds and two assists.

ANDREW’S FREE LOUISVILLE VS BOSTON COLLEGE PREDICTION

I’ll try Louisville here. This one seems like coin-flip territory, though. The Cardinals didn’t shoot very well versus Georgia Tech in their latest win, hitting just 38.6 percent from the field and 22.2 percent from 3-point range. Louisville was saved by an excellent 31-of-34 (91.2 percent) from the line however, as well as the Jackets’ 34.9 percent shooting from the field. The Cardinals have scored 79 or more points in three straight games, though.

As for Boston College, they could use a spark on offense here. The Eagles have scored fewer than 66 points in three of their last four games, but to be fair they’ve played some tricky teams in that time. This one should be a close game if both teams are on, but I think Louisville can pull off the cover in the end. It’ll be a fun one to watch.
