The Miami Hurricanes and the Boston College Eagles meet Saturday in college basketball action from Conte Forum. Miami is riding a three-game losing streak at 15-10 overall. The Hurricanes fell to Clemson in their last outing. As for Boston College, they’re 14-10 on the year after a victory over Louisville on Tuesday. Miami Hurricanes

The Hurricanes only lost two of their first 13 games, but they’ve only been able to win consecutive games once since then. Miami is 3-4 in their last seven with losses to NC State, Virginia, North Carolina and Clemson alongside wins over Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech.

Back on Wednesday versus Clemson, the Hurricanes were within one point at halftime 31-30. Miami didn’t fare as well in the second half though, falling behind on a 46-30 run for a loss 77-60. Norchad Omier led the team on a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Boston College Eagles

Over on the Boston College side, they went a decent 10-4 over their first 14 outings but have been pretty choppy in the ACC slate. The Eagles are 3-4 in their last seven games with losses to North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Florida State and Duke. The wins were over Notre Dame, Syracuse and Louisville.

Matched up against Louisville in their Tuesday outing, the Eagles were in trouble with a 47-39 first-half deficit. Boston College bounced back with a 50-30 run from there however and took the win 89-77. Claudell Harris topped the team with his 20 points and two assists in the victory.

ANDREW’S FREE MIAMI VS BOSTON COLLEGE PREDICTION

I’ll stake a stab on Boston College here, but you could make a case either way. The Eagles posted a solid win over Louisville in their last outing—despite a slow start—and would go on to shoot a scorching 56.7 percent from the field. Boston College was pretty rough on the offensive boards (a 12-5 deficit), however. Still, it was a nice bounce-back effort after scoring just 127 combined points in the previous pair.

As for Miami, they’ve been at 60 points or fewer in two of the last three games. To be fair however, the Hurricanes have faced some stiff competition and did keep pace with a great North Carolina team last weekend. This will be another tricky road matchup though, and if the Eagles play well I think they can fend off the Miami charge.
