The Miami Hurricanes and the Boston College Eagles meet Tuesday in ACC Tournament college basketball action from Capital One Arena. Let’s get into our Miami vs. Boston College prediction. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Miami Hurricanes

The Hurricanes were just 12-6 through their first 18 games this year, then hit a 3-1 stretch with wins over Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech. Miami has lost to Virginia, North Carolina, Clemson, Boston College, Duke, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Boston College and Florida State in succession since then.

Matched up against Florida State over the weekend, the Hurricanes faced a five-point deficit going into the second half. Miami didn’t get any closer on a 46-43 run from there and ended up losing 83-75. Bensley Joseph was the leading team scorer with 17 points, four assists and three rebounds.

Boston College Eagles

Over on the Eagles’ side, they were 13-10 through their first 23 outings. Following wins over Louisville and Miami, Boston College then fell to Florida State, NC State, Virginia and Pittsburgh in the next four. The Eagles would then beat Miami and Louisville from there.

In their latest outing versus Louisville, the Eagles jumped out to a comfortable 41-31 edge by the break. Boston College had to hang on from there on a 30-26 run but still took it 67-61. Claudell Harris was the leading team scorer with his 18 points, eight rebounds and two assists.

ANDREW’S FREE MIAMI VS BOSTON COLLEGE PREDICTION

I’ll stick with Boston College, but you could call this one either way. The Eagles were able to take care of a struggling Louisville team in their last matchup, bagging a 42-31 rebounding edge and holding the Cardinals to just 33.3 percent shooting. Boston College did give up 16 turnovers for 22 Louisville points, though. The Eagles haven’t cracked 68 points in four straight games, which could be an issue in Tuesday’s game.

These teams saw each other last back on February 17 in an 85-77 home win for the Eagles. Boston College had a 37-27 rebounding advantage but also allowed 52.9 percent shooting. This one should be a fairly high total as well. I like the Eagles to power out the cover/win in the end, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see Miami play well either.
