The Stonehill Skyhawks and the Boston College Eagles meet in college basketball action from the Conte Forum on Tuesday night.

The Stonehill Skyhawks will look to rebound from a 78-67 loss to Rider last time out. Andrew Sims leads the Skyhawks in scoring and rebounding with 16.9 PPG and 4.4 RPG while Max Zegarowski has 12.9 PPG with 3.8 RPG and Isaiah Burnett has 12.5 PPG with 4.3 RPG and a team-high 3.1 APG to lead the Skyhawks in assists and to round out the trio of double-digit scorers for Stonehill so far this season. As a team, Stonehill is averaging 73.3 PPG on 46.3% from the field, 38.4% from three and 81.1% from the foul line this season.

The Boston College Eagles will try to snap a four-game losing streak after a 77-56 loss to Villanova in their last game. Makai Ashton-Langford leads Boston College in scoring and assists with 11 PPG and 2.2 APG while also logging 3 RPG and Jaeden Zackery has 10.9 PPG with 3.4 RPG as the only other double-digit scorer for Boston College up to this point in the year. T.J. Bickerstaff also has a team-high 7.3 RPG to lead the Eagles on the glass up to this point in the season. As a team, Boston College is averaging 63.9 PPG on 41.4% shooting from the field, 27.3% from three and 66% from the foul line this season.

Stonehill is 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 road games and 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a loss while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall. Boston College is 1-9 ATS in their last 10 home games and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a losing record while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games overall.

I get the case to be made on either side here but I think the better play in this game is the under. Boston College has become a more defense-first team, maybe because there isn’t really an offense to speak of, but either way, it’s resulted in the Eagles being in a lot of low-scoring games. Stonehill isn’t great offensively, but they’re even worse on defense. Even still, I don’t think BC will fully take advantage here and I think this one ends up in a 68-56 kind of game so give me the under here.
