The Army Black Knights will travel to Case Gym to take on the Boston University Terriers this Wednesday night in College Basketball action.

The Army Black Knights lost their 2nd straight game and improved to 13-11 on the season after being defeated by the Holy Cross Crusaders, 69-65, this past Saturday. Army led by a 34-31 margin at halftime, however, the Black Knights struggled defensively in the 2nd half and Holy Cross was able to pull away for the victory after taking a 67-62 lead with :31 seconds left in regulation. Army shot 40.0% from the field & 26.9% from beyond the arc while allowing Holy Cross to shoot 38.5% from the field & 42.1% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Black Knights was Jalen Ricker who had 11 poitns, 1 rebound, 6 assits, & 1 steal.

On the season, Army is averaging 70.3 ppg on 43.7% shooting from the field. The Black Knights are averaging 6.9 three-pointers per game on 32.6% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Army has been led by Jalen Rucker (15.9 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 2.9 apg), Josh Caldwell (11.9 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 2.6 apg, 2.0 spg), Charlie Peterson (7.5 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 1.3 apg), & Aaron Duhart (6.9 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 3.5 apg, 1.2 spg).

Defensively, Army is allowing their opponents to an average of 69.3 ppg on 43.8% shooting from the field. The Black Knights have a rebound margin of 2.1 and a turnover margin of 0.8.

The Boston University Terriers improved to 16-9 on the season after being defeated by the Lehigh Mountain Hawks, 80-74, this past Saturday. Boston University was outstanding on the offensive end against Lehigh and was able to hold off the Mountain Hawks for the victory after taking a 71-64 lead with 2:39 left in regulation. Boston University shot 48.3% from the field & 50.0% from beyond the arc while allowing Lehigh to shoot 54.3% from the field & 46.7% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Terriers was Sukhmail Mathon who had a double-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds, 1 block, & 1 steal.

On the season, Boston University is averaging 70.1 ppg on 44.4% shooting from the field. The Terriers are averaging 7.7 three-pointers per game on 35.0% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Boston University has been led by Javante McCoy (16.4 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 2.8 apg, 1.0 spg), Sukhmail Mathon (15.2 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 1.9 apg), Walter Whyte (12.9 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 1.1 apg, 1.0 spg), & Jonas Harper (7.6 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 1.3 apg).

Defensively, Boston University is holding their opponents to an average of 66.0 ppg on 45.0% shooting from the field. The Terriers have a rebound margin of 4.7 and a turnover margin of -0.3.

The Black Knights are 4-0 ATS I their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss. The Terriers are 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 Wednesday games, however, are just 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS win.

Army was able to pick up a 73-63 victory at home over Boston University in mid-January, however, the Black Knights have struggled a bit as of late, losing 3 of their last 4 games including a double-digit loss at Lehigh and a more embarrassing loss to Holy Cross when they were 8.5-point favorites. Boston University is one of the better teams in the Patriot League and as I think the Terriers defense, which ranks 92nd in scoring defense & 56th in rebound margin, give Army some trouble in this one, I think Boston University wins this one by double digits and covers this large home spread. Good Luck!
