Holy Cross trailed by a 50-42 margin with just 9:35 left in regulation, however, the Crusaders were outstanding defensively down the stretch and was able to pull away later after taking a 62-58 lead with 1:38 left in regulation. Holy Cross shot 40.7% from the field & 40.0% from beyond the arc while allowing Lehigh to shoot 39.6% from the field & 52.9% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Crusaders was Gerrale Gates who had a double-double with 19 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, & 2 steals.

On the season, Holy Cross is averaging 65.5 ppg on 46.6% shooting from the field. The Crusaders are averaging 5.6 three-pointers per game on 34.1% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Holy Cross has been led by Gerrale Gates (15.6 ppg, 8.6 rpg, 1.4 apg), Kyrell Luc (11.9 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 1.9 apg, 1.6 spg), Judson Martindale (9.8 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 1.0 apg), & Bo Montgomery (7.2 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 1.2 apg).

Defensively, Holy Cross is allowing their opponents to average 71.0 ppg on 46.6% shooting from the field. The Crusaders have a rebound margin of -0.1 and a turnover margin of -0.4.

The Boston University Terriers won their 4th straight game and improved to 15-8 on the season after defeating the Colgate Raiders, 76-72, this past Friday. Boston University led by a 40-32 margin at halftime and was able to hold off Colgate for the victory after taking a 71-58 lead with 4:54 left in regulation. Boston University shot 44.8% from the field & 26.1% from beyond the arc while allowing Colgate to shoot 41.9% from the field & 50.0% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Terriers was Sukhmail Mathon who had a double-double with 22 points, 11 rebounds, 1 assist, & 2 blocks.

On the season, Boston University is averaging 69.7 ppg on 44.3% shooting from the field. The Terriers are averaging 7.4 three-pointers per game on 34.0% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Boston University has been led by Javante McCoy (16.5 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 2.8 apg, 1.0 spg), Sukhmail Mathon (15.3 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 1.9 apg), Walter Whyte (12.7 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 1.1 apg, 1.1 spg), & Jonas Harper (7.8 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 1.3 apg).

Defensively, Boston University is holding their opponents to an average of 65.2 ppg on 44.1% shooting from the field. The Terriers have a rebound margin of 5.2 and a turnover margin of -0.8.

The Crusaders are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600 & 5-12 ATS overall on the season. The Terriers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a losing road record & 10-10-2 ATS overall on the season.

Holy Cross has struggled on both ends of the court this season as the Crusaders come into this game ranked just 301st in scoring offense, t-228th in scoring defense, & 330th in defensive FG%. Boston University has been led by their defense which ranks 76th in scoring defense & 49th in rebound margin, however, the Terriers have struggled a bit on the offensive end as they currently rank just 220th in scoring offense.

Holy Cross picked up a much-needed win against Lehigh, however, the Crusaders are just not that good of a basketball team and come into this game with an 0-9 record on the road. Boston University is arguably the team to beat in the Patriot League this season and as I think their defense gives Holy Cross a bunch of trouble in this one, I think the Terriers do enough on their home court to cover this large spread. Good Luck!
