Bowling Green got reasonably close to Western Carolina in their opener, but dropped the game 79-71. After a 101-60 win over Ohio Wesleyan in game two, the Falcons lost big to Ohio State 89-58 in their third outing.
Bowling Green had a two-point edge on Norfolk State at halftime in their last game 39-37. The Falcons gave up 53 points from there in a 90-84 defeat. Top team scorer Myron Gordon posted 19 points with three boards and four assists.
Over on the Milwaukee side, they got a big win over North Dakota in their opener. The Panthers scored 39 in the second half during a 75-60 win. Game two was the Panthers’ first loss; they fell behind early to Eastern Kentucky and dropped the game 77-71.
Milwaukee had a rough matchup against Florida in game three back on Thursday. The Panthers gave up a 48-23 deficit in the second half en route to an 81-45 blowout loss. Patrick Baldwin led the team on 13 points and three rebounds.
The Panthers are 0-7 ATS in their last seven neutral-site games and 6-2 ATS in their last eight Tuesday games. The under is 4-0 in Milwaukee’s last four overall.
Meanwhile, the Falcons are 0-5 ATS in their last five neutral-site games and 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 Tuesday games. Bowling Green is 16-34-2 ATS in their last 52 overall.
PICK: I’m going to try Bowling Green. The Falcons did a decent job early against a pretty good Norfolk State team in their last outing. Bowling Green held strong with a 40-40 rebounding tie, but shot just 37.9 percent from the field to the Spartans’ 50 percent.
As for Milwaukee, there was really no chance they’d get close to Florida in their last game—and they didn’t—but the Panthers should match up much better here. Still, if Bowling Green is on point offensively I like them better on a cover/win.
