In this article, we will formulate a Brown vs Princeton prediction for this College Basketball game on Friday, February 14th at the Pizzitola Sports Center in Providence, Rhode Island. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this College Basketball matchup.

Brown Bears Betting Preview

The Brown Bears are 10-10 (2-5) this year after they lost to Columbia by a score of 74-72 in their last game. Brown led 42-33 at halftime, but they were outscored 41-30 in the second half for the loss. The Bears shot 55.8% from the field, 21.4% on three-pointers, and 61.1% on free throws in the game. Malcolm Wrisby-Jefferson led Brown with 16 points and six rebounds, while Landon Lewis added 14 points and three assists in the loss.

Prior to that game, the Bears lost to Princeton by a score of 69-49 but did beat Penn by a score of 88-79 before that. Brown has lost five of their last seven games and they are currently fifth in the Ivy League standings with a 2-5 record. Brown has scored 72.7 points per game and they have allowed 73 points per game, while also averaging 35.8 rebounds and 14.9 assists per game this season. Kino Lilly Jr. is averaging 18.8 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game, while Landon Lewis is averaging 13.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game this year. Brown is shooting 44.9% from the field, 63.7% on free throws, and 36.2% on three-pointers this season.

Princeton Tigers Betting Preview

The Princeton Tigers are 16-6 (5-2) this season after they defeated Penn by a score of 61-59 in their last game. Princeton led 31-24 at halftime and they were able to get the win, despite scoring just 30 points in the second half. The Tigers shot 34.5% from the field, 30% on three-pointers, and 92.3% on free throws in the game. CJ Happy led Princeton with 13 points and eight rebounds, while Xaivian Lee added 11 points and nine rebounds in the win.

Prior to that game, the Tigers defeated Brown by a score of 69-49 but did lose to Yale by a score of 77-70 before that. Princeton has won nine of their last 11 games and they are currently tied for second in the Ivy League standings with a 5-2 record. Princeton has scored 75.6 points per game and they have allowed 71.0 points per game, while also averaging 35.2 rebounds and 15.7 assists per game this season. Xaivian Lee is averaging 16.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game, while Caden Pierce is averaging 12.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game this year. Princeton is shooting 44% from the field, 70.1% on free throws, and 37.1% on three-pointers this season.

Why Princeton will beat Brown

  • Princeton has won each of its last 10 night games against the Ivy League.
  • Brown has lost six of its last eight games against the Ivy League.
  • Princeton has won the first half in eight of its last nine games at Pizzitola Sports Center against non-AP-ranked opponents.

Brown vs Princeton Prediction

Princeton comes into this matchup two games behind Yale in the Ivy League standings, but they are in great shape to make the end-of-year tournament. The Tigers have won two games in a row and just beat Brown by a score of 69-49 on February 1st. Princeton is shooting 44% from the field this year and they have allowed 59 and 49 points in their last two games. Brown has lost three of their last four games and they have allowed at least 74 points in four of their last five. The Bears are just 2-5 in conference play and I don’t think this game will be much better for them than their first meeting. Take Princeton here.
