The Albany Great Danes and the Bryant Bulldogs meet Tuesday in America East Tournament college basketball action from Chace Athletic Center. Here’s a Bryant vs Albany prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Bryant vs Albany pick.
Albany Great Danes Betting Preview
The Danes have had a couple of good runs this season so far but overall it’s been a bumpy ride. Albany has managed to keep their heads above the .500 mark, though. The Great Danes kicked things off on a spotty 6-6 record, then hit a 3-4 stretch with wins over Sacred Heart, Stony Brook and New Hampshire alongside losses to Fordham, UMass Lowell, Maine and Bryant. It’s been a better run since then as Albany has carved out an 8-5 run over the last 13 outings. Those wins were over Binghamton, NJIT, Bryant, UMass Lowell, Maine, UMBC, NJIT and Binghamton in succession. Otherwise it was losses to UMBC, Binghamton, Vermont, New Hampshire and Vermont again, giving the Great Danes a 17-15 overall run through 32 games.
In the Saturday matchup with Binghamton, the Great Danes kicked things off with a 39-30 edge in the first half. Albany was outscored 36-30 the rest of the way but managed to hang on for a 69-66 win in the end. Leading the team in the victory was Amar’e Marshall with 20 points, two rebounds, one assist and one steal. Byron Joshua added 16 points with four rebounds, two steals and one assist, while DeMarr Langford had 11 rebounds, four blocks, two assists and six points in 36 minutes of work on the floor during the win.
Bryant Bulldogs Betting Preview
Over on the Bryant side, they weren’t looking so good in the record column as the calendar flipped over to 2025. The Bulldogs have since played much better, though. Bryant limped to a 6-5 record over their first 11 outings, then lost to St. John’s, Fordham, Towson and Grand Canyon in the next four games. Since then however, Bryant has lost to only Albany and Vermont. The wins otherwise have come versus Maine, Vermont, Albany, UMass Lowell, New Hampshire, Binghamton, UMBC, NJIT, Binghamton, NJIT, UMBC, UMass Lowell, Maine, New Hampshire and UMBC in succession. That gives the Bulldogs a 21-11 record so far this year.
In the UMBC weekend matchup, the Bulldogs went into the second half sporting a 41-31 edge. Bryant hit a 44-43 run the rest of the way and powered out the win in the end 85-74. Rafael Pinzon led the team on 22 points with three rebounds and one assist, while Earl Timberlake added 18 points, eight assists and seven rebounds in 38 minutes of work. Kvonn Cramer managed to double up off the bench with his 12 points, 12 rebounds, two blocks and one assist in 25 minutes on the floor during the victory.

Bryant vs Albany Prediction
I’ll lean toward Bryant. This will be a pretty interesting matchup, though. The Bulldogs didn’t have a ton of issues with UMBC over the weekend, posting 46.4 percent shooting with a 49-32 rebounding edge in the 11-point victory. Bryant gave up quite a bit from outside though (10-of-22 for 45.5 percent) and had 11 turnovers along the way. That said, the Bulldogs are on a four-game win streak now, with 79 or more points in each of those outings.
These teams have played a couple of times already, with the road team bagging the victory each time. Bryant won 89-79 on January 16 and the Danes returned the favor 68-63 on February 6. It was one of only two losses in the last nine games for Bryant, and they’ve scored fewer than 64 points in each of those. The Bulldogs really need to step on the gas offensively in this one, but if they can keep the turnovers in check I like Bryant to look pretty good here.
