Buffalo vs Miami-OH Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 3/3/23

The Miami-OH RedHawks and the Buffalo Bulls meet Friday in college basketball action from UB Alumni Arena. Miami-OH enters this one at 12-18 overall. The RedHawks beat Western Michigan in their last matchup. As for Buffalo, they’re sitting at 14-16 on the season after a win versus Northern Illinois. Miami-OH RedHawks 

Miami-OH managed a 7-15 run over their first 22 outings of the year. The RedHawks are 5-3 in their eight games since, beating Western Michigan, Northern Illinois, Bowling Green, Ohio and Western Michigan again. 

In the Western Michigan rematch on Tuesday, the RedHawks were up 36-26 by the break. Miami-OH hit a 41-36 second half and powered out the win 77-62. Leading scorer Mekhi Lairy put up 21 points and Anderson Mirambeaux added 18 points with four rebounds. 

Buffalo Bulls

Over on the Buffalo side, they managed a 10-12 run in their first 22 games this season. The Bulls have since hit a 4-4 stretch with wins over Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan and Northern Illinois during that run. 

Back on Tuesday versus Northern Illinois, the Bulls stormed out to a 42-26 halftime edge. Buffalo scored another 43 points after the break and bagged the road win 85-75. Curtis Jones put up 21 points and Isaiah Adams managed 20 points with six rebounds. 

ANDREW’S FREE PICK 

I’m going to stick with Buffalo. The Bulls are fresh off a nice road win over Northern Illinois and they’ve scored a combined 156 points across their last two games. Buffalo is going to need to play a complete game here, however. The last time these teams met up was back on January 10 at Millett Hall. The Bulls were within three points at halftime in that one but faded on a 54-46 second half in a 91-80 loss. Miami-OH is on a four-game win streak and scoring well themselves, but if Buffalo puts up a good home effort I think they’ll be okay.
