The Dixie State Trailblazers and the California Baptist Lancers meet Wednesday in college basketball action from CBU Events Center. Dixie State is 7-9 so far and fresh off a loss to Utah Valley. Dixie State posted a 7-5 record over the first 12 games, losing to Gonzaga, Texas State, CSUN, USC and Weber State in that time. Since then it’s been four straight losses to Southern Utah, Tarleton State, Abilene Christian and Utah Valley.

PICK: I’m sticking with Cal Baptist here. The Lancers had a spotty game against Chicago State in their last outing, despite shooting a solid 45.1 percent from the floor. The Lancers are normally a much better scoring team than that this season, and I think they’ll find the rhythm again in this one. Dixie State has been below 70 points in there of their last four games, so there should be plenty of opportunities for Cal Baptist in this matchup.
