Seattle managed a pretty solid 14-4 run over their first 18 games this year. The Redhawks have since gone 4-4 over their last eight games, though. The wins in that time have come versus Tarleton State, Southern Utah, Utah Tech and Grand Canyon.
In the Grand Canyon matchup, the Redhawks took a 32-26 lead into the locker room. The Redhawks scored another 31 points in the second half and powered out a win 63-58. Alex Schumacher was the top team scorer on 26 points and eight rebounds.
California Baptist Lancers
Over on the Cal Baptist side, they were 10-8 at the 18-game mark this year. The Lancers have hit a 4-4 stretch in their last eight as well, beating Grand Canyon, Tarleton State, TX-Arlington and West Coast Baptist along the way.
In the West Coast Baptist matchup, the Lancers jumped out to a 66-25 lead by halftime. Cal Baptist scored another 66 points from there and cruised to the 132-46 blowout victory. I’ll probably take a stab on Seattle here. The Redhawks have now won consecutive games following a string of four straight losses. The scoring has still been pretty good regardless; Seattle has hit 65 or more points in four of their last five outings. The last time these teams saw each other was back on December 31 at Connolly Center. Seattle powered out a 71-65 win in that one, and this game should be pretty close as well. I ultimately like the Redhawks cover-wise, but you could probably make a case either way.
