Campbell vs Presbyterian 3/2/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Presbyterian Blue Hose and the Campbell Camels meet in college basketball action from the Bojangles Coliseum on Wednesday night.

The Presbyterian Blue Hose come into the conference tournament as the #11 seed, finishing with a record of 12-19 including 4-12 in conference play after a 98-96 OT loss to UNC-Asheville last time out. Rayshon Harrison leads the Blue Hose in scoring and assists with 17 PPG and 3 APG while Winston Hill has 11.9 PPG with a team-high 6.4 RPG as the only other double-digit scorer for Presbyterian up to this point in the season as well as the Blue Hose’s top rebounder. As a team, Presbyterian is averaging 67.7 PPG on 42.3% shooting from the field, 26.9% from three and 68% from the foul line while allowing 67.7 PPG on 44.9% shooting from the field and 37.4% from three this season.

The Campbell Camels come in as the #6 seed, with a record of 15-12 including 8-8 in conference play after their 60-55 loss to Longwood in their last game. Cedric Henderson Jr. leads the Camels in scoring with 14.1 PPG along with 5.6 RPG while Jordan Whitfield has 11 PPG and Ricky Clemons has 10.1 PPG with 5.1 RPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Campbell so far this season. Jesus Carralero has 9.3 PPG with 5.3 RPG and a team-high 3.9 APG to lead the Camels in assists as well this season. As a team, Campbell is averaging 66.3 PPG on 46.5% shooting from the field, 32.4% from three and 67.2% from the foul line while allowing 61.9 PPG on 43% shooting from the field and 34.7% from three this season.

I get the case to be made for either side as both sides with throw it all at the wall with this being one and done if you lose. With that said, I just don’t know if the Blue Hose can take down this Campbell defense. It’ll be up to Campbell’s offense to deliver, but with such a low line, I have to side with Campbell laying the points here.
