The Monmouth Hawks and the Canisius Golden Griffins meet in college basketball MAAC-tion from Koessler Athletic Center on Sunday afternoon.
The Monmouth Hawks come into this one looking to build on a 57-45 win over Monmouth in their last matchup. George Papas leads the Hawks in scoring and assists with 17 PPG along with 2.4 APG as well as 5.9 RPG while Shavar Reynolds has 15.4 PPG and Walker Miller has 13.3 PPG with a team-high 7.6 RPG as well on the year. I get the case to be made both ways, but if this line is a trap, so be it, I’m siding with Monmouth here. The Hawks have been plying some of the best ball in the MAAC so far this season and have had a lot more success with a tougher schedule. Canisius will have their chances this season, but this isn’t one of them. Give me Monmouth here.
