Radford took a blowout loss to Pittsburgh 96-56 in their opener. The Highlanders got back into the groove quickly though, taking out William & Mary, Old Dominion, Evansville, and Southern Virginia over their next four outings.
In their Thursday matchup with Clemson, Radford put up another blowout defeat. The Highlanders were drilled 38-26 in the first half and got outscored 41-25 the rest of the way in a 79-51 result. Zion Walker topped the team with 10 points.
Chicago State Cougars Betting Preview
Over on the Chicago State side, they haven’t had much luck on the court this year. The Cougars opened up with six straight losses to Loyola, Youngstown State, Texas, San Francisco, Eastern Kentucky, and Indiana State.
In Friday’s Indiana State matchup, the Cougars trailed by five points at the break. Chicago State was drilled 62-31 in the second though, losing big 97-61. Quincy Allen led the way in the losing effort with 14 points and eight rebounds.

Chicago State vs Radford Prediction
I’ll probably just stay with Radford, but it’s something of a hefty line. Aside from a couple of ugly losses to much bigger schools, the Highlanders haven’t looked too bad so far. Radford wasn’t going to compete on the road versus Clemson, and they ended up with a rough 30.9 percent shooting alongside 11 turnovers. That said, the Highlanders have scored very well in their wins, with 87 or more points in all four of those.
As for Chicago State, they scored 72 points in their opener versus Loyola but haven’t been able to get past 66 points since then. The Cougars have given up 79 or more points in all six games so far as well, so Radford shouldn’t have too many issues posting a big total on Monday. The 12-point margin may be a bit of a stretch though, so use some caution here.
