The Miami-OH RedHawks and the Clemson Tigers meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Littlejohn Coliseum. Miami-OH is 5-3 so far this year. The RedHawks lost to Indiana State in their last game. As for Clemson, they’re 6-4 on the season and fresh off a win over Drake. Miami-OH started off on a nice five-game win streak over Georgia Tech, Lamar, Stetson, Heidelberg, and Defiance. Since then it’s been three straight losses to Western Illinois, Cincinnati and Indiana State.

In Saturday’s loss to Indiana State, Miami-OH had a 39-37 lead at halftime. The RedHawks couldn’t hang on however, and eventually lost 69-68 in a tough one. Mekhi Lairy was the team’s top scorer on 18 points and five boards.

Over on the Clemson side, they beat Presbyterian, Wofford, Bryant and Temple before losses to St. Bonaventure and West Virginia. The Tigers are 2-2 since then with losses to Rutgers and Miami-FL alongside wins over Charleston Southern and Drake.

On Saturday against Drake, Clemson saw a 39-32 halftime lead vanish as the Bulldogs forced overtime. The Tigers took over from there with 16 points in a 90-80 win. PJ Hall doubled up with 22 points, 13 rebounds and two assists.

The Tigers are 5-0 ATS in their last five at home and 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine Tuesday games. The over is 5-0 in Clemson’s last five at home.

Meanwhile, the RedHawks are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five Tuesday games and 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight after a straight-up loss. The over is 3-0-1 in Miami-OH’s last four Tuesday games.

PICK: I’m going to stick with Clemson. The Tigers got a scare with overtime in the Drake game, but everything worked out fine. Clemson shot 46.7 percent from the field with 17 team assists and a 38-27 rebounding advantage as well.

As for Miami-OH, they’ve been sluggish on the scoreboard in their last three games, posting 68 or fewer points in each. Clemson has hit 75 or more in three of their last four, and I like another big scoring run here as well. I don’t think the RedHawks will keep up.
