Colorado State vs Loyola Marymount 11/30/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Loyola Marymount Lions and the Colorado State Rams meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Moby Arena. Loyola Marymount is 6-2 overall this year. The Lions are coming off a blowout win over Bellarmine. As for Colorado State, they’re 5-2 on the season and fresh off a win over MS Valley State. LMU got off to a 2-2 start this year, beating Life Pacific and UC Davis while otherwise falling to UC Riverside and UC Irvine. The Lions took out Georgetown, Wake Forest and Morgan State in their next three games. 

Loyola Marymount kept the win streak going back on Friday versus Bellarmine. The Lions scored 37 points in the first half and 43 in the second during an 80-59 win. Both Keli Leaupepe and Justin Ahrens scored 15 points apiece to lead the team. 

Over on the Colorado State side, they won their first four games of the year over Gardner-Webb, Southeastern Louisiana, Weber State and South Carolina. The Rams would then drop two versus Charleston and Penn State. 

The Rams got back into the win column last Saturday versus MS Valley State. Colorado State hit a 42-20 halftime edge, then scored 46 more points in the second half during an 88-45 win. John Tonje led the team on 25 points and seven boards. 

PICK: I’m going to stick with Colorado State. The Rams have been playing pretty well this year in comparable matchups—outside of the Charleston game anyway. Colorado State has hit 77 or more points in four of they last six games and should be able to put up a good total here as well. 

As for the Lions, they’ve got their offense working pretty well this year themselves. LMU has 77 or more points in seven of eight outings so far. I like this one to be a high-scoring game and a pretty entertaining matchup overall. Should be fun.
