Colorado vs Northern Colorado 12/18/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Northern Colorado Bears and the Colorado Buffaloes meet Sunday in college basketball action from Coors Events Center. Northern Colorado is 5-5 overall this year. The Bears beat CSU Northridge in their last game. As for Colorado, they’re 6-5 on the season and coming off a win over North Alabama. Northern Colorado has wins over Texas A&M-Commerce, ND State, Jacksonville State, Colorado State and CSUN this year. The five losses have come to Houston, Baylor, San Jose State, Colorado Christian and New Mexico. 

In the CSU Northridge game last weekend, the Bears scored 37 points in the first half and 33 more in the second for a 70-63 victory. Leading the scoring was Daylen Kountz with 19 points, and Dalton Knecht doubled on 16 points and 14 rebounds.

Over on the Colorado side, they’ve got wins over UC Riverside, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Yale, Colorado State and North Alabama. The losses have been to Grambling, UMass, Boise State, Arizona State and Washington. 

In the North Alabama game on Thursday, the Buffaloes posted a 42-28 advantage by halftime. Colorado scored another 42 points in the second half in an 84-60 win. Tristan da Silva put up 25 points with nine rebounds in the victory. 

PICK: I’ll probably stay with Colorado. The Buffaloes managed a nice win over a decent North Alabama team in their last outing, notching 50.8 percent shooting, 42 rebounds and 14 team assists. Early this month Colorado had four straight games with 65 points or fewer but they’ve posted a combined 177 in their last pair. As for Northern Colorado, they’ve been scoring well themselves with 69 or more points in seven straight outings. I like this one to be a high-scoring affair as well on the way to a Buffaloes cover.
