The USC Trojans and the Colorado Buffaloes meet Thursday in college basketball action from Coors Events Center.

USC enters this game at 19-4 so far. The Trojans are 1-1 in their last pair and coming off a win over Oregon. As for Colorado, they’re 17-7 this year. The Buffaloes are 1-2 in their last three and coming off a win over Oregon State. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

USC has been a very consistent team all year, and they’re yet to lose consecutive games. Over the last nine outings, the Trojans are 8-1. They’ve taken out California, Oregon State, Stanford, UCLA, Washington, Washington State, Arizona State and Oregon in that time.

In the 72-58 win over Oregon on Monday, USC’s Tahj Eaddy led the team with 24 points, four rebounds and two assists. Drew Peterson added 15 points with 11 rebounds, and Evan Mobley chipped in 11 points with five boards and two assists.

Over on the Colorado side, they’ve stayed pretty consistent themselves this year, and have only lost consecutive games once so far. After falling to California and Oregon in back-to-back outings, the Buffaloes got back in the win column on Saturday versus Oregon State.

In the 61-57 win over Oregon State, Colorado’s McKinley Wright led the way on 21 points with three rebounds and three assists. Both Evan Battey and Jeriah Horne added 10 points apiece, combining for 11 rebounds and two assists as well.

The Buffaloes are 2-6 ATS in the last eight overall and 4-1 ATS in their last five Thursday games. Colorado is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home games and the under is 5-0 in their last five overall.

Meanwhile, the Trojans are 12-3 ATS in their last 15 road games and 20-8 ATS in their last 28 Thursday games. USC is 7-1 ATS in their last eight overall and 7-1 ATS in their last eight as a favorite.

PICK: I’m going to take USC here. The Buffaloes managed an impressive victory 72-62 the last time these teams met back on December 31. The Trojans shot horribly in that game, notching just 38.3 percent from the field. USC had a slight edge in team assists 13-12, but were out-rebounded 38-35 and coughed up 15 turnovers. This should be another pretty great matchup, but I like the Trojans to come out with a better effort and power out the cover.
