The Iowa State Cyclones come into this game fresh off of an 83-64 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Izaiah Brockington leads the Cyclones in scoring and rebounding with 16.6 PPG and 7.6 RPG while Gabe Kalscheru has 13.6 PPG and Tyrese Hunter has 12.1 PPG with a team-high 5.3 APG and 2.9 SPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for Iowa State so far this season. As a team, Iowa State is averaging 76.7 PPG on 45.7% shooting from the field, 33.8% from three and 69.9% from the foul line while allowing 60.4 PPG on 38.9% shooting from the field and 25.8% from three this season.

The Creighton Bluejays will be out to build on their 80-55 beating of North Dakota State last time out. I can get Creighton being favored because they’re at home, but realistically, despite a 7-1 record, I haven’t been impressed with a lot of the results put forth by Creighton. Iowa State’s put out a solid group of wins so far and this looks like a completely different team that finished in the basement of the Big 12 a season ago. Look for the Cyclones to make a game of this and to give Creighton a run if they don’t win this one outright.
