CSU-Fullerton vs Vermont 11/13/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Vermont Catamounts and the Cal State Fullerton Titans meet Sunday in college basketball action from Titan Gym. Vermont is 1-1 so far this year and coming off a loss to Saint Mary’s. Vermont took on Brown in their first matchup of the year and didn’t have too much trouble. The Catamounts scored 37 points in the first half and 43 in the second for an 80-65 win. Leading the scoring was Kino Lilly on 18 points and two boards. 

In game two versus Saint Mary’s, Vermont had a much tougher time. The Catamounts scored just 24 points in the first half and eventually lost 79-53. Robin Duncan topped the team in scoring with 14 points and Dylan Penn added 13 points. 

Over on the Cal State Fullerton side, their year began with a matchup versus a tough San Diego State team. The Titans were down seven at the half and eventually lost 80-57. Vincent Lee notched 11 points and five boards to lead the team. 

The Titans had better luck in their second game against Pepperdine, but it was a close one. Cal State Fullerton had a 37-37 tie going into the second half and powered out the 74-71 win. Jalen Harris led the team with 27 points, and Lee posted 12 points with nine boards. 

PICK: I’m probably staying with Cal State Fullerton. This should be a pretty fun matchup regardless, though. The Titans understandably had trouble with San Diego State in their opener, allowing the Aztecs to hit 53.8 percent from the field and 44.4 percent from 3-point range. CSUF out-rebounded the opposition 31-30 however, and collected 33 more in the win over Pepperdine. The Titans should match up pretty well against Vermont, but they’ve got to keep the shooting percentage high—it was a tepid 38.2 percent in the Pepperdine game.
