Keshon Gilbert has 13.9 PPG with 4.4 RPG and 3.1 APG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Iowa State so far this season. Tre King, Robert Jones and Curtis Jones each have 8+ PPG as well with King logging 5.6 RPG as well on the year. Depaul Continues To Struggle

The Depaul Blue Demons come into this one looking for answers after an 89-79 loss to Northern Illinois last time out for their 3rd straight defeat. Outside of the win over South Dakota, DePaul lost to Fort Wayne, Long Beach State, South Carolina, and San Francisco in their first quintet. Chico Carter Jr. leads the Blue Demons in scoring and assists with 13.3 PPG and 3.8 APG along with 4.2 RPG while Jeremiah Oden has 11.3 PPG with a team-high 4.3 RPG to lead DePaul on the glass. Elijah Fisher has 10.8 PPG while Da’Sean Nelson has 10.7 PPG with 3.3 RPG to cap off the scoring in double figures for Depaul up to this point in the year. As a team, DePaul is averaging 70 PPG on 43.6% shooting from the field, 36.2% from three, and 71.7% from the foul line this season.

Iowa State vs. Depaul Prediction

I’m backing Iowa State here. The Cyclones have one of the best defenses in the country so far this year, and Depaul struggled mightily against a Northern Illinois team that’s nowhere close to the level of defensive pressure they’re going to have to deal with here. The Cyclones did take back-to-back losses, but those were against some of the better teams in the country and I think Iowa State gets one back here.
