Detroit vs Wright State 2/20/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Wright State Raiders and the Detroit Titans meet Sunday in college basketball action from Calihan Hall. Wright State is 16-12 on the year so far and beat Oakland in their last game. As for Detroit, they’re currently 11-13 this season. The Titans beat Northern Kentucky on Friday. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Wright State began the year on an ugly 2-7 run, but then hit a seven-game win streak in December/January. The Raiders are 1-2 in their last three games, however. They lost to Milwaukee and Northern Kentucky before a win over Oakland. 

In Friday’s game against Oakland, the Raiders posted 34 points in the first half and 44 more after the break on the way to a 78-74 win. Leading the scoring was Grant Basile with 26 points, seven rebounds and two assists in the victory. 

Over on the Detroit side, they started the year at 4-7 then were only able to play one game (a win) between December 19 and January 13. The Titans have gone 2-2 over their last four with losses to Youngstown State and Oakland between wins over Robert Morris and Northern Kentucky. 

In the Northern Kentucky matchup back on Friday, the Titans went into the break tied at 20. Detroit hit a 40-32 run from there in a 60-52 win. Antoine Davis led the team on 20 points with three rebounds, two assists and a pair of steals. 

The Titans are 10-1-1 ATS in their last 12 at home and the under is 8-3 in their last 11 overall. The over is 5-1 in the Titans’ last six at home. 

Meanwhile, the Raiders are 5-2 ATS in their last seven overall and the over is 7-1 in their last eight Sunday games. The under is 4-1 in Wright State’s last five after an ATS win. 

PICK: I’m going to stay with Wright State. The Raiders had a sketchy game against Milwaukee recently and then lost a tough one at home to Northern Kentucky, but aside from that Wright State has been playing pretty well in this 5-2 run. 

The last time these teams met up back on February 4, the Raiders pulled off a 90-59 victory at home. The change in venue will only help out the Titans, but ultimately I don’t think Detroit will be able to keep the pace up in this one.
