Drexel vs Indiana State 11/23/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Indiana State Sycamores and the Drexel Dragons meet in college basketball action from the Hertz Arena on Wednesday.

The Indiana State Sycamores will look to rebound from a 63-61 loss to UMKC last time out. Courvoisier McCauley leads the Sycamores in scoring and rebounding with 20.8 PPG and 7 RPG while Cooper Neese has 11.8 PPG as the only other double-digit scorer for Indiana State up to this point in the season. Trenton Gibson’s also chipped in 9.8 PPG with 6.5 RPG and Xavier Bledson has a team-high 3.5 APG to lead the Sycamores in assists this season. As a team, Indiana State is averaging 80.8 points per game on 47.3% shooting from the field, 35.5% from three point range and 70.2% from the foul line this season.

The Drexel Dragons will try to bounce back after a 67-59 loss to Florida Gulf Coast in their last game. Amari Williams leads Drexel in scoring and rebounding with 15.3 PPG and 9.3 RPG while Coletrane Washington has 14 PPG and Kobe Magee has 12 PPG and 5 RPG this season. Lamar Oden Jr. has chipped in 8.8 PPG and 7 RPG and Justin Moore’s dished out a team-high 2.8 APG to lead the Dragons in the assist department this season. As a team, Drexel is averaging 66.6 points per game on 41.2% shooting from the field, 30.1% from behind the three point line and 60.7% from the foul line up to this point in the season.

zzxI get the case to be made for either side in this game, as Indiana State’s the better offensive unit and Drexel’s better defensively. However, I feel that there’s a bigger drop-off with Drexel’s offense against the Indiana State defense and I just don’t know how Drexel will be able to overcome that. I’m high on this Sycamores team and I think they get another win on Wednesday so I’ll back the Sycamores here.
