The Monmouth Hawks and the Drexel Dragons meet in college basketball action from the Entertainment and Sports Arena as part of the Colonial Athletic Association conference tournament. Let’s dive into the injuries, matchup history and make a prediction for this game.

Injuries

Neither side has anyone listed on the injury report for this game, so barring any last-minute announcements, both sides will come into this game at full strength.

Matchup History

Monmouth won the last meeting 69-67 back on February 4th, 2023, splitting the two meetings between the two teams this season.

Trends

Monmouth is 2-10 ATS in their last 12 Saturday games and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a win by 20+ points while the over is 7-0 in their last 7 games overall. Drexel is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following an ATS win and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games against a team with a winning percentage below .400 while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 Saturday games.

Pick

I’m leaning towards Monmouth here. The Hawks have played a lot more respectably down the stretch and managed to exact revenge on Drexel after the 32-point beatdown Drexel handed to Monmouth in the first meeting this season. The Dragons are solid, but they have a tendency to play down to lesser opposition and in a one-bid league like the CAA, it’s win by any means necessary, not worrying about style points. I think Monmouth makes this one ugly and tries to win any way they can so give me Monmouth ATS here.
