Eastern Washington vs UC Davis 12/17/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The UC Davis Aggies and the Eastern Washington Eagles meet Saturday in college basketball action from Reese Court. UC Davis enters this one at 7-3 overall. The Aggies beat Holy Names in their last game. As for Eastern Washington, they’re 4-7 and fresh off a loss to Texas Tech. UC Davis went 4-1 over their first five games this year, taking a lone loss to LMU on November 12. The Aggies have gone 3-2 since then, beating Southeast Missouri State, Boston U and Holy Names during that stretch. 

In the Tuesday game versus Holy Names, the Aggies were up 53-26 by the break. UC Davis scored 54 more points on the way to a 107-55 victory. Elijah Pepper led the team on 21 points, and Christian Anigwe doubled on 16 points and 11 boards.
Over on the Eastern Washington side, they were just 1-4 over their first five games with a win over Mississippi Valley State. It’s been a 3-3 run since then for the Eagles with losses to FIU, South Dakota State and Texas Tech. 

In the Texas Tech matchup, the Eagles took a 29-29 tie into the second half. Eastern Washington was outscored 48-41 from there and lost 77-70. Steele Venters topped the team on 26 points with two rebounds. 

PICK: I’ll probably stay with UC Davis in this one. This should be a good matchup, though. The Aggies are 5-2 over their last seven games and only lost that pair by two points apiece. UC Davis has scored well pretty much all season long; they’ve hit 72 or more points in all 10 games and should post a decent total here as well. As for Eastern Washington, they’ve hit 70 or more points in five of their last six outings. If both teams are on point this should be a fairly high-scoring affair.
