Evansville vs Missouri State 2/26/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Missouri State Bears and the Evansville Purple Aces meet Saturday in college basketball action from Ford Center. Missouri State is 21-9 on the year so far. The Bears beat Bradley in their last game. As for Evansville, they’re sitting at 6-22 and lost to Loyola in their most recent outing. Missouri State had a sketchy 1-3 run back in November/December but they haven’t lost consecutive outings since then. The Bears are 4-1 in their last five games, taking out Drake, Valparaiso, Indiana State and Bradley in that stretch. 

Matched up against Bradley on Wednesday, the Bears were up by 10 points by halftime. Missouri State kept it up with a 40-34 run in the second during an 83-67 win. Isiaih Mosley was the top team scorer with 33 points and 11 boards.

Over on the Evansville side, they’ve had a rough season. The Aces have yet to win consecutive games. They’re currently on a losing streak to Indiana State, Southern Illinois, Drake, Valparaiso (twice) and Loyola over their last six outings. 

In the Loyola game on Wednesday, the Aces were drilled 12-41 in the first half and 19-41 in the second during an 82-31 blowout loss. No team player hit double-figures, but Blake Sisley managed nine points with two rebounds. 

The Aces are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six at home versus a team with a winning road record and the over is 5-2-1 in their last eight games after an ATS loss. 

Meanwhile, the Bears are 22-8-2 ATS in the last 32 road games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven Saturday games. The over is 4-0 in Missouri State’s last four overall. 

PICK: I’m going to stay with Missouri State in this one. The Bears are playing well over this 4-1 run. They’ve hit 75 or more points one each of their last four outings and shouldn’t have any issues putting up points here. The last time these teams met up, Missouri State posted a 72-58 win at home. Considering Evansville hasn’t hit 70 points in any of their last five games, Missouri State should have full control on a cover in this rematch.
