The Pennsylvania Quakers and Florida State Seminoles meet Wednesday in college basketball action at the Donald L. Tucker Center. The Pennsylvania Quakers didn’t play last season, and this will be the sixth year under coach Steve Donahue. The Florida State Seminoles won 18 games last year and enter year 20 under coach Leonard Hamilton.
The Pennsylvania Quakers didn’t play a game last season, so it’s going to be interesting to see how this group responds to such a long layoff. Players such as AJ Brodeur and Devon Goodman are no longer around. There’s still some proven talent on this roster, but Penn may experience some early growing pains. Jordan Dingle returns after averaging 13.5 points and 3.4 rebounds, while Max Martz averaged 7.9 points and 0.6 assists. Anthony Polite returns after averaging 10.1 points and 4.5 rebounds, while Malik Osborne averaged 5.9 points and 0.3 assists. Rayquan Evans averaged 18.5 minutes per game last season and Wyatt Wilkes averaged 1.6 rebounds.

We haven’t seen Penn play in forever, so there’s no real idea what to expect. The Florida State Seminoles lost a lot of NBA talent this off season, but they’re still loaded with whom they recruited and who they got through transfers. I have to lay the chalk with FSU at home.
