The Winthrop Eagles and the Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Paul Porter Arena. Winthrop is 17-8 so far this year and coming off a win over Presbyterian. As for Gardner-Webb, they’re sitting at 15-10 on the season. The Bulldogs beat Charleston Southern in their last appearance. Winthrop took a home win 64-62 the last time these teams met up, so this one figures to be a pretty tight affair as well. I like Gardner-Webb to get some revenge at home and pull off a cover.
