The Navy Midshipmen and the George Mason Patriots meet Tuesday in college basketball action from EagleBank Arena. Navy is 6-2 on the year so far. The Midshipmen beat William & Mary in their last game. As for George Mason, they’re 4-5 on the year and fresh off a loss to Old Dominion. Navy beat Virginia in their opener but then lost to Virginia Tech and Louisville in the next pair. Since the, the Midshipmen have been on a win streak versus Radford, Furman, Washington College (MD), Mount St. Mary’s and William & Mary.
In the William & Mary game, Navy posted 36 points in the first half and 39 more from there on the way to a 75-56 win. Langdon Hatton led the team on 17 points, and Ben Wright doubled up with 12 points and 13 boards.
Over on the George Mason side, they started out with four straight wins over Stony Brook, Penn, Morgan State and Maryland. Since then the Patriots have lost five straight to James Madison, Washington, Nevada, SD State and Old Dominion, however.

PICK: I’m probably going to go with Navy. The Midshipmen are on a great run over the last five outings, and they’re coming off a good game versus William & Mary. Navy shot 48.3 percent in that one with 36 rebounds and 15 team assists.
As for George Mason, they’ve given up 77 or more points in three of their last four games. There should be plenty of opportunity for Navy to score here, and I don’t think they’ll have too many issues with the cover.
