ANDREW’S FREE GEORGE WASHINGTON VS DELAWARE PREDICTION
I’ll probably stick with Delaware. So long as the Hens can regroup and play to their capabilities here, that is. Delaware had a sluggish first half against a good UNC Greensboro team on Saturday, but they didn’t play horribly overall. The Hens ended up with 41.7 percent from the field and a 40-30 rebounding advantage (13-7 offensive) but also gave up 48.3 percent shooting on the other side. Delaware is going to need to clamp down the defense on Sunday.
As for George Washington, they gave up 50.8 percent shooting from the field and 40.6 percent from 3-point range to a pretty good UIC team in their Saturday game. The Revolutionaries hit just eight of their 26 attempts from 3-point range and shot 40.9 percent overall themselves, but weren’t terrible in their loss either. Sunday’s matchup should be a pretty good one. I’m sticking with Delaware, but you could make a case either way.
