The Eastern Kentucky Colonels and the Georgia State Panthers meet in college basketball action from the Georgia State Convocation Center on Friday night.

The Eastern Kentucky Colonels will look to rebound from back-to-back losses after a 67-59 loss to Cincinnati in their last game. DaShawn Jackson also has 9.7 PPG and Isaiah Cozart has a team-high 7.7 RPG to lead the Colonels on the glass this season. The Georgia State Panthers will try to build on an 85-83 OT win over Mercer last time out. Evan Johnson has 10.3 PPG with a team-high 3.3 APG to lead the Panthers in the assist department this season. Jamaine Mann also has 9.7 PPG with 4.3 RPG and Brenden Tucker has 9.3 PPG. As a team, Georgia State is averaging 72.7 PPG on 39.5% shooting from the field, 26.9% from three and 71.4% from the foul line up to this point in the year.

I get the reasoning for laying points at home with Georgia State, but I’m just not fully sold on the Panthers as of yet. Eastern Kentucky hasn’t played the toughest of schedules themselves, but Eastern Kentucky battled Western Kentucky tough in the rivalry game and I think they could potentially keep this one within 3-4 points.
