The Georgia Bulldogs and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets meet Friday in college basketball action from McCamish Pavilion. Here’s a Georgia Tech vs Georgia prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Georgia Tech vs Georgia pick.
Georgia Bulldogs Betting Preview
The Bulldogs have played three games so far, and all three have been victories. The closest margin was in the opener, as Georgia got by Tennessee Tech 83-78. Game two was an easier prospect as the Bulldogs took out Texas Southern 92-64.
On Tuesday versus North Florida, the Bulldogs notched their second consecutive double-digit win. After a 43-31 first half, Georgia cruised on 47 more points for a 90-77 result. Leading scorer RJ Godfrey doubled on 21 points and 12 rebounds.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Betting Preview
Over on the Georgia Tech side, they were able to get by West Georgia pretty easily in their opener, taking the victory 85-62. Game two against North Florida didn’t go so well, however, as the Jackets fell by double-digits 105-93.
Georgia Tech was able to get past Texas Southern in their Tuesday matchup to find the win column again. The Yellow Jackets took a 49-25 advantage into the locker room and eventually won 81-62. Baye Ndongo managed a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Georgia Tech vs Georgia Prediction
I’ll probably just stay with Georgia. The Bulldogs were able to fend off a decent North Florida team in their last outing, shooting a nice 53.4 percent from the field with a 39-30 rebounding advantage and 15 team assists. Georgia’s offense has been great so far, with 83 or more points in all three games.
As for Georgia Tech, they didn’t shoot all that great in their win over Texas Southern—37.9 percent from the field and 76.5 percent (26-of-34) from the line—and had 14 turnovers. The rebounding edge (49-41) helped matters, though. That said, the Yellow Jackets likely won’t control the glass so well against Georgia.
