The Tigers managed a 7-2 run in their first nine games this year. The wins in that time came courtesy of Bethune-Cookman, Merrimack, Wofford, Jackson State, Oregon, St. John’s and NC State. Since then it’s been a 2-2 run for Auburn. Those wins were over Chattanooga and Queens, mixed with losses to Arizona and Purdue in that time. Over 13 games so far that gives the Tigers a 9-4 overall record.
In the Queens matchup back on Monday the Tigers were up comfortably 57-21 by the break. Auburn scored another 49 points from there in a 106-65 blowout victory. Leading the team in scoring was Elyjah Freeman with 27 points and three boards. Kevin Overton had 23 points with two rebounds and Keyshawn Hall added 18 points with five rebounds and five assists.
Georgia Bulldogs Betting Preview
Over on the Georgia side, they beat Bellarmine, MD Eastern Shore, Morehead State, Georgia Tech, Florida A&M and Xavier in their first six before an OT loss to Clemson. Since then it’s been wins over Tennessee Tech, Florida State, Cincinnati, Western Carolina, West Georgia and Long Island U. Over their first 13 games this season the Bulldogs have a nice 12-1 record so far.
In the LIU matchup on December 29, the Bulldogs were down by three points at halftime. Georgia got back to it in the second half however, hitting a 48-30 run for an 89-74 comeback win. Marcus Millender had 14 points with six assists in the win, and Justin Bailey had 13 points with three assists. Blue Cain chipped in 12 points with five boards in the victory as well.

Georgia vs Auburn Prediction
I’ll lean toward Auburn but you could call this one either way; it’ll be a good game. In any case, the Tigers didn’t have any issues with Queens U in their last outing, hitting 55.6 percent from the field with a 34-22 rebounding edge and just nine turnovers. Auburn went 21-of-30 (70 percent) from the line and had 22 team assists. All four of the Tigers’ losses this year have been to ranked teams in Houston, Michigan, Arizona and Purdue. Otherwise they’ve been a pretty dominant squad.
As for Georgia, they started slowly in their latest win over LIU but everything worked out well in the end. The Bulldogs shot 46 percent from the field with 37 rebounds but did get outmuscled in the paint 48-32 and had 12 turnovers. That makes six straight wins for Georgia, and they’ve scored 78 or more points in all 13 games so far. We should have a pretty high total in this one if both teams are on point.
