The Pacific Tigers and the Gonzaga Bulldogs meet in college basketball action from the Marriott Center on Thursday night.

The Pacific Tigers will look to bounce back from a 74-68 loss at the hands of USC last time out. Alphonso Anderson leads the Tigers in scoring and rebounding with 11.5 PPG and 6.7 RPG while Luke Avdalovic has 10.2 PPG and Jeremiah Bailey has 10.7 PPG with 5.7 RPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for Pacific so far this season. Pierre Crockrell II also has a team-high 4.3 APG to lead the Tigers in the assist department this season. As a team, Pacific is averaging 66 PPG on 41.4% shooting from the field, 32.8% from three and 67.2% from the foul line while allowing 70 PPG on 44.8% shooting from the field and 37.7% from three this season.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs will hope to build on a 90-57 win over BYU last time out. Drew Timme leads the Bulldogs in scoring with 17.6 PPG along with 6 RPG while Julian Strawther has 12.8 PPG with 6 RPG and Chet Holmgren’s got 14.7 PPG and a team-high 9.2 RPG as well this season. Rasir Bolton’s also chipping in 10.3 PPG while Andrew Nembhard has 10.6 PPG with a team-high 5.3 APG to lead the Zags in assists. As a team, Gonzaga is averaging 90.9 PPG on 53.6% shooting from the field, 37.9% from three and 71.2% from the foul line while allowing 65.3 PPG on 37.2% shooting from the field and 29.7% from three this season.

Pacific is 1-11 ATS in their last 12 road games and 1-7 ATS in their last 8 road games against a team with a winning home record while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games following a loss. I get that this is a ton of points to be giving Pacific, as Gonzaga could call off the dogs early and shift their focus to their next game against Saint Mary’s, or the focus could be on Saint Mary’s from the jump. However, the Tigers aren’t a good enough team to think that they could take advantage of Gonzaga in that mindset and I just think that this ends up as a 40+ point win for the Zags. Not a game I’m rushing to bet, but I’d side with Gonzaga laying the points here.
