Grand Canyon vs Seattle Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 2/24/23

The Seattle Redhawks and the Grand Canyon Antelopes meet Friday in college basketball action from GCU Arena. Seattle is 18-10 on the year so far and coming off a loss to Utah Valley. Seattle Redhawks

Seattle posted a pretty good run to start the year, going 16-4 through 20 games. The Redhawks are just 2-6 since then however, falling to Sam Houston, Stephen F. Austin, New Mexico State, Abilene Christian, Cal Baptist and Utah Valley in that time. 

Back on Saturday versus Utah Valley, the Redhawks took a 24-21 edge into the locker room. Seattle was outscored 46-34 from there however, and lost 67-58. Alex Schumacher led the team on 19 points and five rebounds. 

Grand Canyon Antelopes

Grand Canyon managed to go 13-7 through their first 20 outings. The Antelopes are 5-3 in their last eight with wins over Abilene Christian, Stephen F. Austin, New Mexico State, Abilene Christian again and Park Gilbert during that stretch. 

Grand Canyon didn’t have any trouble with Park Gilbert on Tuesday. The Antelopes jumped out to a 62-23 halftime edge, then hit a 49-15 run in the second for a 111-38 blowout win. Walter Ellis led the team on 24 points in 20 minutes.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK 

I’m going to lean toward the Antelopes in this one. Grand Canyon is 4-2 in their last six games and they’re sitting on consecutive double-digit victories. The Antelopes have been within five points in each of their last two losses and should be competitive here as well. These teams last saw each other back on February 11 in a 63-58 Seattle victory from Connolly Center. The Antelopes are 4-1 in their last five at home and I like them to power out a revenge cover in this one. Should be a pretty interesting matchup regardless.
