The Howard Bison will travel to Lavietes Pavilion to take on the Harvard Crimson this Tuesday night in College Basketball action.

The Howard Bison improved to 6-5 on the season after defeating the North Carolina A&T Aggies, 79-57, this past Saturday. Howard dominated North Carolina A&T on both ends of the court throughout the 2nd half and had no trouble pulling away for the victory after taking a 63-48 lead with 9:37 left in regulation. Howard shot 45.2% from the field & 40.0% from beyond the arc while holding North Carolina A&T to just 35.9% from the field & 26.7% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Bison was Kyle Foster who had 18 points, 9 rebounds, & 1 assist.

On the season, Howard is averaging 80.5 ppg on 48.6% shooting from the field. The Bison are averaging 8.8 three-pointers per game on 39.8% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Howard has been led by Kyle Foster (14.6 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 1.4 apg, 1.1 spg), Elijah Hawkins (13.2 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 7.0 apg, 2.2 spg), Steve Settle III (13.2 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.5 spg), Tai Bibbs (10.5 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 2.4 apg).

Defensively, Howard is allowing their opponents to an average of 69.5 ppg on 43.8% shooting from the field. The Bison have a rebound margin of 1.4 and a turnover margin of 2.3.

The Harvard Crimson won their 2nd straight game and improved to 7-4 on the season after defeating the Holy Cross Crusaders, 62-54, this past Sunday. Harvard led by a 32-24 margin at halftime and had no issue securing the victory after taking a 57-44 lead with 5:15 left in regulation. Harvard shot 36.5% from the field & 16.7% from beyond the arc while holding Holy Cross to just 36.2% shooting from the field & 25.0% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Crimson was Chris Ledlum who had a double-double with 17 points, 11 rebounds, 1 assist, & 2 blocks.

On the season, Harvard is allowing their opponents to average 76.0 ppg on 44.1% shooting from the field. The Crimson are averaging 9.4 three-pointers per game on 34.9% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Harvard has been led by Chris Ledlum (16.6 ppg, 9.1 rpg, 1.2 apg, 1.8 spg), Noah Kirkwood (15.7 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 2.9 apg, 2.6 spg), Luka Sakota (11.5 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 2.5 apg), Idan Tretout (7.9 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 1.2 apg).

Defensively, Harvard is allowing their opponents to average 67.9 ppg on 42.6% shooting from the field. The Crimson have a rebound margin of -1.5 and a turnover margin of 4.1.

The Bison are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 Tuesday games and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road games. The Crimson are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games following a straight up win & just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.

Howard has been solid on the offensive end this season, however, the Bison certainly have had some issues defensively as the Bison come into this game ranked just 210th in scoring defense & 245th in defensive FG%. Harvard has been solid on both ends of the court this season as the Crimson come into this matchup ranked 97th in scoring offense, 51st in three-pointers made per game, & 34th in turnover margin.

Howard is a decent team, however, they are just 1-3 on the road this season and as I like what I’ve seen from Harvard to start the season, which included a 20-point win over Northeastern, I’m taking Harvard to cover this home spread. Good Luck!
