Hawaii vs Texas A&M-Commerce 12/1/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Texas A&M-Commerce Lions and the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Stan Sheriff Center. Texas A&M-Commerce is 3-4 overall and coming off a win over Arlington Baptist. As for Hawaii, they’re 5-1 this year. The Warriors beat Texas State in their last game. Texas A&M-Commerce lost their first two games of the year versus SMU and Northern Colorado before getting a win over Air Force. The Lions fell to UNC Asheville and Georgia State in the next pair before a win over Eastern Kentucky. 

On Monday versus Arlington Baptist, the Lions didn’t have much trouble. Texas A&M-Commerce scored 56 points in the first half on the way to a 101-46 blowout win. Demarcus Demonia led the team on 18 points with three boards. 

Over on the Hawaii side, they took out MS Valley State and Eastern Washington in their first pair before a loss to Yale. The Warriors rebounded with wins over Hawaii Pacific and Sacramento State in their next two games. 

Hawaii kept the win streak going Saturday versus Texas State. The Warriors trailed 29-28 by the break but then hit a 44-36 run in the second half for a 72-65 win. Noel Coleman topped the squad on 21 points and three assists. 

PICK: I’ll probably stick with Hawaii here. The Warriors had a sketchy first half in their last matchup versus Texas State. Everything worked out well however; Hawaii shot a nice 51.1 percent from the field with 30 rebounds and 12 team assists in the comeback win. The Warriors have scored well this season, with 71 or more points in each of their wins. As for Texas A&M-Commerce, they’ve got a few good outings this year themselves and have generally been competitive. The Lions could give Hawaii some troubles early but I like the Warriors to power out the win/cover.
