The Drexel Dragons will travel to the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex to take on the Hofstra Pride this Monday afternoon in College Basketball action.

The Drexel Dragons improved to 7-6 on the season after defeating the Northeastern Huskies, 76-88, this past Saturday. Drexel was lights out offensively in the 2nd half against Northeastern and was able to hold off the Huskies for the victory after taking a 62-52 lead with 3:05 left in regulation. Drexel shot 50.8% from the field & 42.9% from beyond the arc while allowing Northeastern to shoot 45.3% from the field & 33.3% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Dragons was Camren Wynter who had 26 points, 3 rebounds, 9 assists, & 2 steals.

On the season, Drexel is averaging 74.9 ppg on 46.3% shooting from the field. The Dragons are averaging 7.8 three-pointers per game on 34.7% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Drexel has been led by Camren Wynter (14.7 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 4.8 apg), James Butler (13.4 ppg, 9.7 rpg, 1.3 apg), Melik Martin (10.3 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 1.5 apg), & Xavier Bell (10.3 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 1.6 apg).

Defensively, Drexel is allowing their opponents to average 72.2 ppg on 45.7% shooting from the field. The Dragons have a rebound margin of 2.2 and a turnover margin of -0.5.

The Hofstra Pride improved to 10-7 on the season after defeating the Delaware Blue Hens, 82-77, this past Saturday. Hofstra trailed by a 35-31 margin at halftime, however, the Pride was outstanding offensively in the 2nd half and was able to hold on for the victory after taking a 66-54 lead with 7:44 left in regulation. Hofstra shot 50.0% from the field & 34.6% from beyond the arc while allowing Delaware to shoot 48.0% from the field & 43.3% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Pride was Aaron Estrada who had 30 points, 2 rebounds, 6 assists, & 3 steals.

On the season, Hofstra is averaging 78.7 ppg on 46.2% shooting from the field. The Pride are averaging 9.9 three-pointers per game on 34.2% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Hofstra has been led by Zach Cooks (16.1 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 4.0 apg, 2.2 spg), Aaron Estrada (15.8 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 4.8 apg, 1.5 spg), Jalen Ray (15.3 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 1.7 apg, 1.0 spg), & Darlinstone Dubar (12.2 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 1.4 spg). Zach Cooks has missed the past couple of weeks due to a hip injury and is at best, questionable for this matchup.

Defensively, Hofstra is allowing their opponents to average 72.8 ppg on 44.5% shooting from the field. The Pride have a rebound margin of -2.1 and a turnover margin of 4.9.

The Dragons are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games vs. CAA opponents, however, are just 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games vs. Hofstra. The Pride are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games, however, are just 6-12 ATS in their last 18 games vs. CAA opponents.

Drexel has been led by their offense which ranks 111th in scoring offense & 84th in FG%, however, the defense has been a real problem for the Dragons as they come into this matchup ranked just 262nd in scoring defense & 309th in defensive FG%. Hofstra has also been led by their offense which ranks 40th in scoring offense, 91st in FT%, & 20th in three-pointers made per game, however, like Drexel, the Pride defense has struggled keeping opponents off the scoreboard and come into this game ranked just 272nd in scoring defense & 263rd in defensive FG%.

Hofstra is the better team in this one and come into this game with a 6-0 home record, however, the Pride have struggled defensively, and I think will have a bit of trouble keeping Camren Wynter and the Dragons offense off the scoreboard. Drexel is going to have a hard time pulling off the upset here, however, as I think they can keep this game somewhat competitive, I think this is just too many points to pass up on. Take Drexel and the points. Good Luck!
