The Loyola Greyhounds and the Holy Cross Crusaders meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Hart Center. Loyola is 13-10 on the year. The Greyhounds lost to Navy in their last game. As for Holy Cross, they’re sitting at 6-16 overall and lost to Colgate in their most recent outing. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Loyola posted a 12-7 record to start the year, losing to North Carolina, Charleston, Lipscomb, Coppin State, St. Bonaventure, Army and Boston U in that time. The last four games have been a 1-3 stretch with losses to Colgate, Bucknell and Navy.

Matched up against the Midshipmen on Saturday, the Greyhounds went punch-for-punch the whole way but eventually fell in a tough result 56-55. Cam Spencer led the team on 18 points, and Jaylin Andrews added 13 points with three boards.

Over on the Holy Cross side, they only managed wins over Regis College, Mount St. Vincent and Lafayette in their first 18 games. After wins over Lehigh, Boston U and Army, the Crusaders lost their last outing to Colgate.

In the Colgate matchup on Monday, the Crusaders were outscored 30-47 in the first half and 30-40 in the second during an 87-60 defeat. The team’s only double-digit scorer was Kyrell Luc with 21 points, five rebounds and two assists.

The Crusaders are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 after an ATS loss and 1-4 ATS in their last five Wednesday games. The under is 6-2 in Holy Cross’ last eight at home.

Meanwhile, the Greyhounds are 1-4 ATS in their last five Wednesday games and 0-4 ATS in their last four after a straight-up loss. Loyola is 1-5 ATS in their last six overall.

PICK: I’m going to stay with Loyola here. These teams last met up way back on January 4, as the Greyhounds took a 79-70 win at home. Loyola hasn’t exactly been the model of consistency over the last six games, though; they’ve been at 61 points or below in four of those games. As for Holy Cross, they’re playing better over their last quartet and should be able to put up a decent performance here. I like Loyola better on the eventual cover, though.
