Indiana State vs East Carolina 11/21/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The East Carolina Pirates and the Indiana State Sycamores meet Monday in college basketball action from Germain Arena. East Carolina enters this one at 3-0 so far. The Pirates beat Hampton in their last outing. As for Indiana State, they’re 3-0 as well and coming off a win over North Dakota State. East Carolina began their year with a matchup versus Mercer. The Pirates scored 47 points in the second half there and came away with a 77-75 comeback win. Game two was another win for East Carolina, this time 77-57 over Presbyterian. 

In Wednesday’s game versus Hampton, East Carolina again trailed at halftime 39-33. The Pirates posted 49 points in the second during an 82-73 comeback win. Tops in scoring were Javon Small and Quentin Diboundje with 17 points apiece. 

Over on the Indiana State side, their year began with a win over Green Bay. The Sycamores posted a 46-22 second half in an 80-53 result in that one. Game two versus Ball State was another win, this time 83-71. 

Indiana State took on North Dakota State on Thursday in their last outing. The Sycamores were up 49-26 by halftime and rolled to a 101-75 win. Courvoisier McCauley led the team on 30 points with five rebounds and four assists. 

PICK: I’m going to stay with Indiana State. The Sycamores have been scoring very well so far this year with 80 or more points in every game—though it’s a small sample size. Indiana State shot a nice 49.3 percent in the North Dakota State game but they did lose the rebounding battle 41-34. Still, if the Sycamores get off to a good start here I think they’ll be fine on a cover. Indiana State will have to be wary in the second half, though; East Carolina has been playing better as the games go on.
